Our community came out in numbers to peacefully mourn recent events that have sent a heartful reverberation across the nation in the true Rancho Penasquitos style, together as a stand with one another honorning Black Lives Lost. Our diverse community of 64,000 was out to mourn the death of Mr. Floyd and others.
No rioting, no looting, or marching in the streets but, standing up, together, lining the street practicing physical distancing at Black Mountain Road and Twin Trails Drive holding candles, flashlights, and cell phones to send a community message. This community wanted the world to see we stand for respect, equal justice under the law, and equality for all as they join voices with the message that Black Lives Matter in Rancho Penasquitos, too!
We are so grateful to those who stood for those of us who could not attend last night’s vigil. Here is a link to more photos from the event, https://photos.app.goo.gl/7AH5fFD7T3LfJYMcA
