Fire Evacuation/Traffic Safety Issues with new Junipers Development in Rancho Peñasquitos

Is our community ready for the traffic gridlock coming on Carmel Mountain Road and Penasquitos Drive?  What about fire evacuation for 6,000 vehicles fleeing on the single access road? These are the concerns voiced by the PQ-NE Action Group Chair, Stephan Haight today in response to the new development, the Junipers, going before the San Diego City Council on June 15, 2021.

Stephan is urging every resident in our beloved Rancho Penasquitos from Park Village to Crestmont to Adobe Bluffs and beyond to write a letter to our D5, San Diego Councilmember Marni von Wilpert to ask that this project be delayed until the additional access road at the north end of Rancho Penasquitos be completed.
